Track for track SFG is the best Drake experience. Its consistent and versatile. TC is good but its too soft for my taste. The rest are mediocre.

Breh up there said that King Drizzy got two classics under his belt

Drake has maybe 1 classic: So Far Gone. The rest are solid projects but none can hold up to the true classics that are The Blueprint, GKMC, AEOM, LAD, E9999, The Chronic, The Carter 1&2....etc. In all honesty I dont think he can hang with Friday Night Lights or Section 80.

I never hate on SFG. I recognize that as his best project and closest to a classic

I have it SFG > TC > NWTS > TML

People are really in this thread talking about NWTS is better than SFG. I just don't see it. Not even close.

I'm surprised you were able to type that without getting an immediate neg/ban.

A Little Bit (the blueprint for Take Care)

Drake not only changed the game but showcased his versatility perfectly on this project.

NWTS just had a dope azz intro and Worst Behavior.

SFG has aged horribly. Or maybe its just that Drake has progressed vastly as a MC since then. Some of the bars he spits on that mixtape are juvenile as fukk. The hype at the time overshadowed his lack of technical skill

Imo

TC > NWTS > SFG > TML

The Drake of back then wasnt able to make songs like this

I refuse to take you seriously Stay Schemin is not even Drake's song and if it wasnt for the jabs and Drake's hype. Its mostly agreed that Ross had the better verse.

We never discredited his skill but nothing he has made is as consistent/potent as SFG.

I completely disagree :what:

His bars back then were better than his bars now.

2009 Drake murks 2014 Drake Lyrically.

The Winner, Fear, Say What's Real, Successful, , Congratulations, Ransom, The Calm.

I mean Ransom alone showed his technical skill.

He's gotten worse as an MC, and a bit lazy. Every now and then he has gems like 5am, but other than that. Nah.

There are certain lines that are terrible that aren't called terrible because of how popular he is.

Started From The Bottom is a terribly simple lead single. Really.

Its either one of the other, people either tell me I'm right, or that I'm trippin.

I just feel quality wise, he's dumbed down alot and rhymes "nikka with nikka" way too much.

A Little Bit is a cover. Im pretty sure.

But everything else is spot on. His whole arsenal was on display on SFG. The way he can effortlessly switch the tones of his voice. Play hook man, rapper and singer all on the same track.

So Far Gone is his best project. I just dont see how you can see it any other way. Everything flows on that shyt too.

SFG is still the best body of work Drake ever put out.

Every track was fire, plus it had a fresh sound.

cosign, cosign, cosign.

The Winner is easily Drake at his best lyrically. When I heard it I thought the next-gen Jay-Z arrived. Now I laugh at that and salute Jay-Z for still being able to be a lyrical beast for going on 20+ years while Drake couldnt even hold it down for 2.

It is, but you cant sit here and tell me that Take Care with Rihanna doesnt follow the same format.

I agree and lightweight feel like he is on a Ja Rule run...and at any minute the reincarnation of 50 will arrive.

A lot of nikkas dont remember shyt like that because their caught in the hype

When that and Fear dropped. I was like :banderas:

Godddddddamnnnnnnn.

"Just know I pop bottles cause I bottle my emotions, at least I put it all in the open"

and The Winner as a whole is ridiculous.

nikkas really think I try to diss Drake, when in fact, I just wish he would put out better music. I thought Take Care was a step in the right direction and NWTS knocked me right back down with how simple some of his bars were.

You remember when you used to listen to Drake and how to rewind shyt on the spot because it was SOOOOOO HARDDDD. I used to have to rewind his bars sometimes.

"Cause I Den Came With More Fire Then A Dragon Fight"

I mean, you can't make this shyt up
