Reggie is a legend in nap, but PG13 is a better overall player as a defender and scorer.

Reggie is more clutch and better as a shooter, but that's where it ends. PG13 does everything better

This is tough because PG13 is definitely the more complete player of the two.

But Reggie knew how to get it done when it was time to win. That documentary which shytted on the knicks best shows what Reggie was capable of near the end of games. Dude was clutch as fukk in most situations.

And PG13 took Bron to a game 7

True, but those second three peat Bulls were a stronger squad. If PG stays in Indiana and gets to the finals at least once, then he may get the slight edge. He gotta get his team to the playoffs consistently; getting farther than the first round.

Reggie never had any help. The most he ever had was Rose and Smits. Reggie could impose his will and was clutch.
PG13 had a squad and he never battled or put up much of a fight. This year in the playoffs, he didn't look like a number 1. There is no point of being talented if you can never elevate your game when your team needs it
what? :scust:

reggie had a well built team, he had rik smits, dale davis, antonio davis for them bigs, all threre were quality bigs

then mark jackson was still a damn good point guard

jalen rose was still young in 98 playoffs but around the year 2000 he got much better

then he had chris mullin and mckey for the veteran presence

dont talk like he was carrying bums night in night out

reggie was more clutch but he never had to defend or do anything else besides scoring points

plus all three years when george had a good squad they lost to bron miami heat

meanwhile pacers missed the playoffs in 97 and lost to 8th seed knicks in 99

If you look at stats they're pretty close in that category. Reggie averaged 18 points a game for his career, PG is averaging 18 so far in his. They both average 3 assists and PG has the advantage with boards. If you go by the eye test the better player is PG. He has the size and length to play 4 positions, is crazy athletic, even post that freak injury, and can defend like no other when he put his mind to it.

PG's problem is on offense where he settles for way too many jump shots even when he clearly has the advantage over his man. He doesn't have that "killer instinct"
Reggie's gift is that he can shoot anyone out of the gym. He had that competitive drive that so few players have that made up for a lot of his shortcomings.

I say PG is the better player so far.

I absolutely loved Reggie and he was responsible for the most incredible basketball moments of my teenage years. But he was one-dimensional as hell.
I realized he was one dimensional and overrated by the time I got to high school in the early 2000s.
