Suge bought Power. His goons didn’t respect him. MOB James said they were just hypnotized with money. If the money dried up, Suge would have been food. MOB James himself said he would regularly extort Suge. When his money was gone, his respect and fear was gone. He had to hire Mexicans after MOB Piru was mostly killed off. He was also an idiot who was too loud.

J Prince is probably the answer, but his recent attention whorish antics on social media say alot. He bought into his feared image and made the mistake of trying to capitalize off of it in the mainstream media by way of the book and the Instagram. The situation with him and the Rap A Lot chain was embarrassing and made many lose respect for him, they just wont say it out loud. He also knows this, which is why he largely fell back after that post from his IG. He only posts here and there now.

Eric B might be the most accurate idea, because he didnt make the mistakes listed above. To this day, Eric B has never bragged or boasted about his gangsterism or the people he was associated with. It’s always being told secondhand. And when he is asked about it, he downplays it. Here’s a testament about how lowkey he is

The man he’s talking about is Eric B. However, if you go into the comments, everybody is saying its Diddy or Suge Knight. Eric B was the Executive Producer of Craig’s second album, and had him initially signed to his Death Row East Imprint before it crumbled. The elusiveness of Eric’s gangster is priceless.

Puff went to LA after Pac got killed and got Big killed and probably would have died himself if they didnt run that red light. Not to mention him getting involved with scandalous ass Compton Crips who killed Pac then tried to extort him.

Nah....can't agree just based on the simple fact that the fear/respect Suge commanded dried up as soon as the money did. Meaning nobody really feared or respected him to begin with.

Probably J. Prince but even he's a shell of his former self. His social media antics are embarrassing.

Fred.

The thread title clearly says “prime”

In his prime.

It was Suge.

Henchmen wasnt on the radar until Pac spoke about him.

J. Prince's work was always hush hush, and been relevent since the geto boys, so he's always had that respect.

Suge was just a smart goon who had a vision and stuck with it, by hook or crook.

And documented his antics.

Gucci Mane. A big retarded known killer. I remember Game saying he would box anyone in the industry except Gucci. Gucci went at everyone known to man and still walk around the streets unscathed.

That's not what happened.

Gucci challenged anyone to box. 40 Cal and Game both accepted but Game is the only one famous enough that people cared about it.

Gucci recorded a diss to game but it was only released when Gucci was already locked up around the time of the Lil Durk and G count beef.

Em did however say Eminem is the only guy he would be afraid to diss

Suge was feared in Cali. J Prince is feared/respected around the country. I'd say J Prince, it's just Suge had more popularity for being a scary guy than Prince so if you were to do a poll or something like that Suge would probably win. If you were to ask industry people though they'd say Prince.

I don't know anything about J Prince outside of Rap-a-lot, but I know street guys in NYC would roll him the red carpet every time he touched down at Laguardia, at least back in the day, must be a reason

The most "gangsta" and the most feared are 2 different questions. I'm sure some were tougher than Suge, but most feared is about perception and Suge's rep in the industry was legendary. So many stories on him. J Prince seems like a true no nonsense gangster but could be reasoned with because Its just about money and business with him at the end of the day. Suge, I believe is a true sociopath who actually got off on fukking with people just because.

At his peak he had bloods, crips, mexicans, NOI, and police on the payroll. Power wise, he definitley wasn't a slouch.
