Is quick reply supposed to auto-quote the post?

I don't remember this feature from before and it's a hassle for me to post only to see I accidentally quoted some dude that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about

I just tested it here. Clicked "quick reply" then went to advanced message. Your post was quoted
I'm on Firefox...idk if that's part of the reason

I don't have quote message checked off unless it's a setting somewhere

yeah...if you quick reply to a specific post...it quotes that post

if you just use the quick reply without hitting that button then it will just reply to the thread normally
