I still think they should have let raditz come back and join up with the other Z fighters. There was a lot of potential to be had by bringing him back.

But I can think of a couple of characters that didn't come back -

-All the Z fighters in Trunks' timeline
-King Piccolo (from the OG Dragonall)
-Grandpa Gohan (not sure why Goku never wished him back actually )
-Android 19
-Android 16 (even tho he was a good guy)
-Dabura
-Nappa (GT doesn't count )
-Frieza's henchmen (Zarbon, Dodoria, Ginyu Force, etc.) unless you count anime filler
-Dr. Gero (again, GT doesn't count)

Goku met his grandfather in part 1 at Baba's tournament. Dude said he was happy being dead and didn't want to be wished back.

I feel like Raditz being around would make Vegeta unecessary. They would both have the same role.

Goku/Vegeta is just a dsyfunctional sibling rivalry if you think about it.

It could have worked if they had developed the character like they did all the others in DBZ.

Remember most of the Z fighters started out as rivals to Goku, but over time they were fleshed out into being distinctive characters in their own right.

The z fighters in trunks timeline couldn't be wished back because piccolo died thus kami died thus the dragonballs were turned to stone. Now does trunks have the brain to go to new Namek and get dende to be the new god or use their dragonballs? That would be a cool story to see.

I understand that, but Raditz was this nikkas brother. I don't see it working any other way than Raditz catching feelings like Vegeta as Goku got stronger and stronger. I don't see Raditz AND Vegeta co existing with Goku, and I dont think Toriyama would have either.

That's the thing i don't see why Raditz would have to catch feelings like Vegeta. Raditz was used to not being the strongest Saiyan so he wasn't on that entitled bullshyt like Vegeta (he likely wasn't molested like him either).

They could have had Raditz finding a backdoor out of HFIL and secretly becoming a super saiyan with new new moves like "EXCITING LEAP YEAR" and "AWESOME LABOR DAY" to get revenge on Goku and crew
