Yes. Dudes get shyt twisted. Just because some form of music or art isn't deemed an instant classic or well received when it first comes out doesn't mean it can't be a classic. A Classic is an outstanding example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with timeless quality. Do you know how many albums or pieces of art form were first rejected then to years later be deemed classic?? Only on the Coli is this really up for debate. Yo any album with tracks like Can I live?, D'evils, Dead Presidents 2, Brooklyn's Finest, Politics As Usual, Can't Knock The Hustle and Regrets is not considered a hiphop classic, then you must be smoking! But hey! It is a matter of opinion lol. The fact that we are still discussing this Album almost 20 YEARS OLD!!! says alot.

Yeah...like ima keep it a buck. Im a Nas Stan...but reasonable doubt and in my lifetime are classics..I never even thought that would be debatable..the amount of gems Jay Z dropped on this albums(gems about street life in general) are enough to make it a classic.

The not being called a classic when it first came out argument is the dumbest reason ever to not think of something as classic. Classic things are classic because they stand the test of time, not because you jumped the gun and called it so off of a couple listens.

Think of how many albums you highly rated initially, but as time went on, you rated it way lower than before.

If you don't like dude for whatever crazy reason you've formulated in your head then just say that.

The album is classic. Deal with it.

It's Lord Camel's guzzlers Elliot Wilson & Dream Hampton fault for "RD Classic" hogwash:pacspit:

...in 96, nobody uttered such fallacy:duck:

The album loses momentum after Can I Live IMO.

The only really knockout track after that is Regrets.

It's a very good album and a borderline classic but it's not a tier-1 classic like Illmatic, The Low End Theory or The Chronic. In 1996 it was just another dope album.

The Blueprint is the definitive Hov album.
