no, but i'd say it's the 2nd most balanced album as far as beats and rhymes go behind illmatic. oh and anyone talking about rewriting history and then going on to say that iww is classic or better than rd is a fukking idiot. i just felt it needed to be said since either rd or iww comes up in every last thread the other one is talking about.

Retrospect, Concept, are u kidding me ?

the album had zero impact when it was released, ZERO... it was an ant amongst GIANTS that year, it is what we thought it was the day it was released, the engineering and wordplay didn't evolve through your disc or cassette over the years... get over it .

Jay is one of the nicest to ever grab a mic, but lets keep it fresh playboy...

this is completely false. It got more burn than the following in streets:

Ironman
Hell On earth
Muddy Waters
Wrath Of The Math

I was there. You can't lie to me like you do these feeble posters. Album was the choice of any and every dude involved even peripherally in street life.

Yeah it's a classic...sort of

It's one of the top two albums from a top 5 goat candidate. It did get a some burn/respect from underground heads.

But...

There was a ridiculous amount of sick albums dropping during that time frame. Really hard to stand out even with an album as dope as RD.

No, it's not a goat album contender.
