i fukked with em until this album. couldn't do it, pure trash. and this is coming from a dude who liked encore.
It was just unique , it be like if Jay Z dropped a album different than his previous shyt and used a weird flow / accent , and the production is INSANEWhat makes relapse so good to some people btw? Probably about 4 or 5 songs were good and weren't completely ruined by that accent or outdated shock lyrics, most of that album hurt my ears
It does have some good beats but I can't listen to him rapping a bunch of random shyt about his step dad raping him in a weird accent lol can you honestly bump "my mom" and enjoy it?The beats. The shock lyrics are corny, yeah, but some songs actually had some substance.
My Mom
Must be the Ganja
Medicine Ball
All dope tracks.

Ok I can respect that, same way I remember recovery just because it dropped the same time a couple important moments in my life were happening so yeah I get itI have a different sort of relationship with Eminem's music than I do most.
It's more a question of whether I can appreciate it rather than enjoy it.
My Mom was a powerful track. Not "Cleaning Out My Closet" level or anything like that; but after his long hiatus, to hear him back with that same type of energy, that's definitely worth noting.
It's not a song (or album for that matter) I give regular spin to, but I remember it fondly.
He made a career out of mocking corny pop music and then became the most corny pop act in rap
@SunZoo you didnt like spacebound? it was about a girl, who wasnt KIM
i like it.... but everything else you posted i agree with.
i wouldve liked love the way you lie, but i couldnt figure out if it was mostly about kim

I disliked it because I wanted more Relapse. In hindsight, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I wanted.
Funny shyt is non-eminem fans, at least at the time were fukkin with that album, which was another annoyance.
Highlights of the album:
Talkin to myself
Cold wind blows (some weak lines, liked the overall laid back tone)
On fire (most likely a Relapse 2 leftover)
Seduction ( great song, shoulda been a single)
Won't back down (some iffy lines but overall cool)
No love
So bad
Almost famous (underrated)
Untitled (he wrecked that shyt)
Going through changes
25 to life
Cinderella man
All decent to great tracks.
The pop singles (love the way you lie, spacebound, not afraid) did what they were supposed to do but I didn't like them very much.
Wack shyt:
WTP
You're never over
Well over half the album was quality, way better than the album that followed.
