I can't with the disrespect of Redman in this thread.
First of all, he's probably not in my top 10. That's no disrespect to him at all.
Second, you won't find many rappers who have 3 classic albums back to back. I consider Whut, Dare, and Muddy Waters classics. What more do they need? Excellent production from Red/Sermon, shift in style from one to the next to the third, Redman blacking out on damned near every track, and the comedy/weed smoke element. Doc 2000 isn't a classic, but it's a good album. Plus his collabos with Meth actually worked out.
One of the best rappers to come out from that era. Plus he was about that life. Remember that rant Prodigy had at the beginning of The Infamous? "nikkas talking about getting high, and spaceships and all that bullshyt?"

Redman actually went all the way out to Queensbridge, confronted Prodigy and asked if there was beef. Prodigy didn't want any of that
So yeah. Not top 10, but give the mans his due. He's as bonafied a legend as any of them come.
