Reread what lardass wrote, since he's the resident Sony salesman I was just wondering if that is how they taught him to teach the masses :mjlol:

As for the rep, the wizards had a funeral planned and executed. That reality got into alot of people's feelings :yeshrug: long story short, people act like internet message boards are sacred areas...
Sony will only have themselves to blame for PSVRs inevitable failure.
I hope I'm wrong but that's how I see it going down. :manny:

Absolutely. I think it's clear it succeeded in making the case for PSVR. The problem is, people will still have misconceptions about VR in general until they try it out for themselves and $400 for the headset alone is a tough gamble. I've heard it all from people who have never used VR; "It's the same thing as Kinect". "All it is, is strapping a tv to your face". "It doesn't have any games, only movies/experiences on rails". Sony desperately needs to step up their marketing or else PSVR will be completely dead by the end of 2017.
That price drop when this happens :lolbron:

Just means it will be released on other vr systems as well after a year. Why is that a problem?
I don't think that splintering the market is going to help VR gain traction. people would be more likely to invest in VR if they thought they could play most VR games, regardless of which headset they purchase

it would be halfway understandable if the game itself was exclusive, but here only the VR mode is being held hostage. someone will probably hack together VR support for the Rift and Vive before they offer official support

Yes, but with everything you need included. Not just the headset and the connections. Move controllers and the camera too
The VR is not a short term project I hope. Price cuts, more lengthy games would be something time would solve but folks fear the time elapsed may not bring about anything substantial. I'd say by E3 a couple of big projects and new announcements should pacify some of the people worried.

So pay $400 for gimmicks now, then hopefully E3 can show you something making the investment worth it? What's that slogan again? Oh yeah, and they keeeeeep haaanging oooooon :bryan: thank you for showing this fine community why PSVR IS currently useless :blessed:
