Doesn't have to necessarily be the case. Imo Ross has already released the best "Rick Ross" type of music in his past work. Deeper than Rap, Rich Forever, Teflon Don, Port of Miami, Trilla have so many classics that I'll revisit forever. My bro was just playing Stay Schemin the other day and that shyt still goes. His new shyt just seems to pale in comparison. Like compare that Lex Luger beat sounding song on that new MMG mixtape to Pandemonium, Tupac Back, By Any Means it doesn't even stack up. I don't even think he's released anything recently that's better than "Box Chevy"
Also as far as Ross making another hit, I think it's doubtful. The aesthetic of the music is way different from what it was during MMG's heyday. Just look at the "rappers" currently on the charts. DRAM, lil Yacthy, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Young Thug/Travis Scott, Drake, French Montana, Dae Dae, A Boogie, YFN Lucci, Rae Sremmurd
His last album is dope, and it might be his best album lyrically and musically. I find it funny how people shytting on it cause it flopped, but the music is good so that's all I care about. I think he'll have resurgence kind of like what Game had with his Doc 2 album, dude is still an entertaining act in the industry.

It has to come to an end at some point. 99% of rappers go through this. So far Kanye and Jay and Nas to an extent haven't "fell off", oh yeah I forget Eminem. Happened to Snoop (he's still popular/famous as ever but nobody really checks for his new music), happened to Ludacris, Nelly, Mobb Deep, DMX, CNN, LL, Rakim, Bone Thugs, Cam/Dipset, Jeezy, TI, Ja Rule, 50 etc and the list goes on. this is just how show business works. Eventually Justin Beiber, Taylor Swift and them are going to be replaced as well. Gaga already falling off and lowkey I think Katy Perry is too. Katy Perry released a single in August and they put in the works for it, tried to tie it in to the Olympics and all that. It debuted at 11 (cause of the machine pushing it) but it had no staying power. Fell to 43 a few weeks later then it jumped to 29 when the video came out but then it fell after that. Here we are just 2 months after it released and the song isn't on the charts and isn't played anymore.
Ross doesn't abuse autotune like these frail Lil dudes, harmonizing for stripper thots and being on excess drugs. That's why his music ain't blowing up in the last couple of years. Too many dumb, musically illiterate c00ns on the spotlight now.
