Ross played himself out but I kind of feel like he was forced to. It's like the NFL: you gotta take that big contract with guaranteed money because you might not get the chance again. There's so much copying in rap that if someone is hot, everyone wants him. Ross made a lot of money during that run where he was on nonstop features. 2Chainz did the same thing afterward.

But that caused him to over-saturate himself. I think his mistake was that he didn't switch things up. He should have tried something new instead of releasing the same album over and over.

Also hurts that he had to do so much of the MMG squad's music in 2014. Meek was locked up and Wale didn't drop until this year, so he had to back the label on his own with two albums. If he only had one album that year it might have been much different
