Rap albums with no features are rare in general. I'm not sure why we're even talking about "last classic album with no guests" as something that's important, or really matters that much.

Beyond that. Canibus. Classic album universally accepted by the hip hop community. "The majority rules." :jbhmm:

:bryan::bryan::bryan: The vast majority of hip hop listeners don't give two shyts about Canibus and probably never even heard this album.

"The majority rules." :russ:

Someone on coli said he had 6 classics once

:russ:

:mjlol: What's messed up is that dude could have had a somewhat notable career, he fukked it up by releasing a subpar debut. Dude has an underrated amount of Ls too. Let's list them...:jbhmm:

1. Getting hype and being realized as a really nice MC only to drop a weak debut
2. C! True Hollywood Stories
3. Taking an L to LL
4. Dissing Jay-Z even though Jay probably never heard the shyt or would even bother to respond
5. Joining the Army only to get kicked out...for smoking...cannabis :francis:
6. Dissing J. Cole for saying that he likes Canibus' old shyt (:mjlol: Dude should have been lucky to still have a listener)
7. Recording himself at home apologizing to Cole
8. Dizaster battle

The same thing you said about people not giving a fukk about Canibus could be said about Joe Budden and Mood Musik 2 but the universal claim is that MM2 is a classic as well.

Same could be said about Royce and his Death Is Certain album......Or Masta Ace and his Long Hot Summer album. All 4 of those albums have had the universal claim of being classics according to Hip Hop.

You are right.....albums with no guest appearances are rare, thats why I pointed it out. Anyone who falls in such category is special.

anyway this album probably has the best production of any 'bis album

stoupe is one of my favorite producers, i wish he worked with different kinds of rappers, for some reason he's always sticking to some mediocre backpacker struggle shytters

but his album with Liz Fullerton as Dutch was dope af, one of my favorite non hip hop projects

Explain to me how it is even possible for Canibus to have a "universally accepted classic album" when most people dont care for his existence? This entire new era of hip hop fans probably couldnt name a Canibus song or point him out of a crowd if you had a gun to their head. You can think this is a classic all you want but it damn sure isnt accepted by everyone. For something to be universally accepted it first has to be KNOWN to the masses and accepted.
