neither are a specific requirement to make the hof. if you watched his career he was an integral part of all the championship teams he played on. one could make a solid argument that several of those chips wouldn't have been won without him.

Who cares, you could make this argument for tons of role players over the years. In what years was Rob a great or dominant player? Did he even have a single such year in his whole career? Can you name any HOF'ers that weren't dominant players in some aspect of the game?

Give me an example of who that player is.

You don't care because you hate to confront common sense and facts.

:aicmon: there's a bunch of old Celtic role players in. KC Jones avg 7ppg for his career and he's in.

Basketball HOF is a joke. You got refs, old-time college stars and high school coaches in.

Why not Horry?

Because that was early on in the NBA where being on a Hall of Fame team merited that bs. We ahven't seen KC Jones types get in since the invention of technicolor.

You dudes are riding for a no time All Star.

Not really riding for him, just think the basketball HOF is a joke and based on who they've let in the past I got no problem w/Big Shot Rob getting in. There's other role players in and Rob was the GOAT role player w/7 rings on his resume. :manny:

no, no ,no and hell no...
He was a good role player, but never a superstar i dont ccare how many rings he was APART of he doesnt deserve to be in.
But that doesnt take away from what he did to HELP teams win.
basketball is too much of a team sport to let in average players because they were on winning teams. shyt if he goes they better vote steve kerr in that same year

He will be in- esp with the negativity at the current selfish superstar players

they will def vote his ass in with no probs

Was he an especially unselfish player or citizen or something?

Zero time award winner of any kind.
Zero time all star.
Zero time 'top player in his position even for his age group' ever.

for point of reference

Bill Cartwright started in 200 more games than Robert Horry, won 3 titles as a starter, and is a one time all star.
