yall pull this song out your ass every time to justify some bullshyt
there was a huge difference between that and what we got happening now
I laughed when I saw that post. You’re right. I mean a lot of us have grandmas who would’ve been around when that stuff came out and yet we never heard of this lady and I’m a guy that wasn’t sheltered from anything really. Nobody was bumping this in their cars in the 80’s lol. They got to let this lady go.

Oh y’all thought “nikka” was some new shyt?….

:mjpls:

It is, prior to the late 80s, you'd be hard pressed to find Black artists using that word in their music.

but white people have been using it in music since the late 1800s.

pretty fukking insane the more I think about it. We really bought into this silly ass idea that we "reclaimed" the word.

nikkas want my old shyt...buy my old album. - Jay Z "on to the next one"

Nobody owes it to anybody to stick with the same sound forever.

Riddle me this. When was the last time anybody here complaining paid to see them perform? Bought a cd? Bought a stream?

I'll go round up the crickets.
