He’s a good backup but everywhere he plays, something bad happens to the starter. Then he plays well filling in, but unravels at the end. Then teams commit to him and he follows up a good year with a disastrous one. This has happened at least 3 times.
He's your quintessential backup that did his job today. He definitely won't produce those results over a season but I bet Buffalo wishes they had him for Nathan Peterman's price.
