Damien Sandow debuted a new character for this week’s Main Event, as he came out as The Macho Mandow. It’s obviously a take on Randy Savage, as he faced Curtis Axel and Axelmania. The Ascension later interrupted the match.

Damien Sandow presented his new "Macho Mandow" gimmick at last night’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings and according to reports that were sent in by fans in attendance, his new character was a hit. However, some fans online thought that this new character might be a step back for his career

There's a ceiling for mimic gimmicks and Damien SanHaas will learn that again

Some people are going to be amused by this for awhile but eventually people are going to want him to be his own character and come with his own thing. He is comedy hour status at this point. No one is going to take him seriously but then again, maybe we arent supposed to
