No it wasn't, cause it was not the focus for Bis to be having bad bytches or money it was skills, they both were skilled.
That’s the equivalent of playing one on one with somebody you know is better than you at everything on the court so you demand that the one on one only be jump shots so you have a chance.

LL had a large female fanbase from the get go so I don't see how this is some nuclear bomb. Big Daddy Kane, Pac, Big, Jay, Snoop, etc....just to name a few other legendary rappers with considerable female fanbases. Playing into women has ALWAYS been a huge part of Hip-Hop. In the 90s, G-Funk and Downsouth kept the dance floors full and made women shake. Rappers in every decade knew you needed those mandatory joints for the chicks to succeed .

It's only a small pocket of "rappity rap" heads that have rejected the idea of Hip-Hop catered towards females throughout the years.
Breh, that notion just about killed BDK’s career. Even coming into the 2000’s it was a major hinderance in Ja Rule’s beef with 50. The game did eventually change but it was always that nikkas had to rock with what you were doing first, then women and white folks

In hindsight I agree. Reading it now, that was one of those posts where I sorta missed the mark.

A lot of rap disses are like that. Especially when someone is beefing a bigger star. For example, look at Jadakiss ''Checkmate'':

You made history! 1.1 million in a short week! (laughs)
I ain't mad, I don't wanna sound mad, I feel marvelous
Translation: :mjcry:

I might never sell that much
Translation: :mjcry:

Yeah, you got a felony, but you ain't a predicate
Translation: I know you're thorough..but you aint been back in the bing :umad: (lmao). SN: Has Jada even done a bid :wtf:

Never the King of New York, you live in Connecticut
You don't be in the hood, you be in the woods
Translation: You live in a mansion with lots of space. You're not cooped up in an NYC project apartment like the rest of us. :win:

You should just sell clothes and sneakers
Translation: Goddamn that G unit clothing is making you mad money :whew:

You had to get shot 9 times to be rich
Translation: How the fukk did you make so much money :dahell:

LL was trying to come into the lyrical realm, not the rap star realm, so the 99 percent of your fans wear high heels just meant LL didn't make any lyrical rap he just made commercial fun records it's not that hard to understand

only people should be insulted were women who were fans of canibus, and hip hop in general, because that's a misconception that females only listen to bubble gum type music

LL won the battle, because of his strategy, his diss track wasn't that good, but the timing of the release and the fact he addressed everything Canibus said about him, won him the battle

but his track was way too long, the hook was trash, and he had way too much filler, and wack lines "chuckle like a name buckle" that shyt was wack

You weak, you about to die up in ya sleep, the overlord of rap will never meet defeat" lmao, that shyt is wack sound like some shyt somebody just starting to rap would write his best lines were the ones who flipped on canibus, everything else is was trash

but the part where said Diss my moms who was the real rap don who reigned for 15 years and dropped bombs, who gold solid gold grammy's that say Todd, LL, while you drop versus at nikkaz proms, he killed that nikka with that shyt

but The Canibus line when kick you in the groin stick you for vanguard award in front of your mom first second and third born, make your wife get on the horn call Mr. Farrakhan, was one of the most incredible sequences in any rap battle

Naw man, I think is the most self inflicted diss track so far.

He literally bragged about how bad he was in bed and had the nerve to say

“If I’m embarrassing me I’m embarrassing you”

how is that embarrassing her after she called him a stalker and wanted nothing to do with him after finding out he don’t even know how to fk?

:mindblown:

You just look at the catalogs and it's embarrassing this was even considered a legitimate feud at one point. LL is a legend. Bis a footnote.

Canibus Shoulda Took The 4321 Verse On The Chin And Let The shyt Go

Making That Diss Sidetracked His Whole Career, I Think He Woulda Flopped Anyway Cause His Mainstream Appeal And Song Writting Abilty Is Zero But Still

The Community Within Hip Hop At That Time Was Not Gonna Let Bis Eat After Going At LL Like That

I don't know mane.

The LL battle is the only time cannibus' name is brought up. If he just came out and flopped without the beef, his name would've faded away.

Only other scenario I can see playing out without the beef, is him falling exclusively into the backpack circuit with no expectations put on his music, like alot of them other dudes who ate for years off of duds. He'd prolly get luv like Mos def.

The realest line ‘Bus said in that whole track is “The Greatest Rapper of All Time died on March 9th”. Outside of that tho, some of them verses got me questioning about dude :patrice:

I was just listening to this the other day and it was literally after hearing LL I'm Bad and I have to cosign this thread because a lot of the shyt he was saying was shyt he took from LL from that track and tried to use it against him.

You could tell Canibus was huge fan and it's crazy that him simply being a fan is what even started the whole beef. Basically proof of why you never want to meet your "idols".
