I don't know where the $20 a month comes from, but Sirius/XM run promotions all the time. I'm currently on the $27 for 5 months plan. The past two years I was on the around $83 for 12 months, but they went up on the price.

Honestly depends on how much you're in your car, im not in my enough to warrant paying for it even thought it's super cheap.

Along with the Breakfast Club Whoo kid has the dopest/funniest hip hop show out. DJ Drama show is dope too when he has good guests on.

College sports radio is dope as hell, fed my thirst for CFB all summer.

For Shade45 alone, I don't know, but for that channel and the other one's, I would say yes.

I like Shade45, and feel it's one of the few true Hip-Hop stations out there. Plus, Sirius works for me because of Howard Stern too.

I got 1 year free, all they do is play the same shyt all day, sometimes it's cool with Sway got some nice guests though

same thing with that Hip hopXL shyt on channel 44, same damn songs on rotation ALL DAY

Its a good way to keep up with whats new, Shade45 gets weird as fukk some times but hiphopnation is always good if you like the current thing rap got going, also they throw in 2000's stuff a lot. Backspin is wack as fukk unless you like over 40 its just a buncha 80's rap.

yeah get it i have Sirius and listen to a quite a few channels on it. Shade45 is nice every weekend you got DJ whoo kid ever saturday and on the weekdays Rude Jude and Lord Sear

plus hip hip nation with dj skee.....all the channels play awesome music

then howard stern......football games if your driving to the store and wanna here them......news etc

I got sirius in my car when I first got it, and everytime i have to renegotiate you can get like 6 months for like 30-40 bucks if you hassle with em and shyt or find a deal.

so for hip hop specifically you get xlhiphop which would be like all your recent hip hop singles/hits/new tracks mixed in with big songs of last 5-7 years as well. xl hip hop has shows from djs like skee, envy, premier, and shyt
you get shade 45 which has a lot of dj shows, like drama, green lantern, tony touch, kayslay, statik selektah (the best), all out show (hilarious), and they play whatever the fukk they want as a station. dj shows if you have a favorite are definitely worth it.

you get backspin which plays 80s and 90s music 24/7

you get the heat which is r&b and hip hop singles recent and throwback - also edited if that makes a difference


but they got several hundred stations that i never listen to that all probably have some sort of fire for me


i hate to sound like i'm bout this shyt, cause i do love playing music off my phone, but thats only cause i've had my car 2 years and i'm so used to Sirius i'm just about it. hopefully my review actually helps you instead off these clowns like " paying for radio" cause they really have no idea how actually dope sirius is if you not heavy into your collection like that which you do not seem to be and have an open mind beyond hip hop


it's a nice bargain if you can get some of the deals



you def do not need it, but you'd probably have to do more digging for music without it
