If you are in your car alot then hell yeah Sirius is worth it. I worked in outside sales and Sirius fed me good. From sports radio, news and political stations, to rap stations, to your comedy stations that play stand up comedy all day. It's dope

I got sirius in my car when I first got it, and everytime i have to renegotiate you can get like 6 months for like 30-40 bucks if you hassle with em and shyt or find a deal.

so for hip hop specifically you get xlhiphop which would be like all your recent hip hop singles/hits/new tracks mixed in with big songs of last 5-7 years as well. xl hip hop has shows from djs like skee, envy, premier, and shyt
you get shade 45 which has a lot of dj shows, like drama, green lantern, tony touch, kayslay, statik selektah (the best), all out show (hilarious), and they play whatever the fukk they want as a station. dj shows if you have a favorite are definitely worth it.

you get backspin which plays 80s and 90s music 24/7

you get the heat which is r&b and hip hop singles recent and throwback - also edited if that makes a difference

but they got several hundred stations that i never listen to that all probably have some sort of fire for me

i hate to sound like i'm bout this shyt, cause i do love playing music off my phone, but thats only cause i've had my car 2 years and i'm so used to Sirius i'm just :manny: about it. hopefully my review actually helps you instead off these clowns like " :scusthov: paying for radio" cause they really have no idea how actually dope sirius is if you not heavy into your collection like that which you do not seem to be and have an open mind beyond hip hop

it's a nice bargain if you can get some of the deals

you def do not need it, but you'd probably have to do more digging for music without it
I have one of tha biggest collections out there (of west coast music atleast) all that underground shyt from every city, I grew up in tha late 80s and 90s, so I got all tha classics that I grew up with, but that shyt gets played out after a while, and I get tunnel vision playing tha same old shyt, it's refreshing to hear something new, I try to keep up when tha Coli post a new album etc, but I'm not always by tha computer when something new drops so a lot of new shyt I pass up unintentionally, that's where this radio would come into play...

I wouldn't pay for it myself (I don't think so, at least), but my parents got that in their car and it's always a treat to drive their car when mine is in the shop or somethin and I hit the hip hop channels. I always hear something new that I like.

I had sirius for howard stern years ago, but once I found a place to download all that content for free, I threw the subscription in the bushes. plus having the content on my iphone with out commercials is a much better alternative than paying.

as for shade 45, they do play a gang of g-unit/shady shyt. but they play everything else. I dont really listen to sirius for music, I preferred when they were talking cuz I have all the music I want to hear on my phnoe regardless.

Me personally, I got too much music in the stash to ever pay for the damn radio and I don't feel a lot of new artists like that to be wanting to hear new shyt, but if the price and rate is good and you're in the whip a lot then go for it. I can't knock the next man's pleasure.
