Not everything is about stats. Do you even know what I'm saying.

1. Elite players are the best players in the world and guys who you can build a current and future team around.

2. All star players are guys who are some of the best players at their position, but are not guys who you can build a team around. These guys would make good 2-3 options on a team.

3. Above average players are guys who are quality starters in the league and have shown to be good players, but are not all star caliber players. Guys like Andre Miller would be in this category.

4. Then you have average players who are mostly bench players and guys at the very end of their careers.

5. Scrubs are the guys who are the bench warmers on the team.

I don't understand how you can say Shane is not an above average player with his skill set. When was the last time you heard of an average player being one of the best defenders in the game at the prime of his career?
