Ignore Kevin Durant dominating the NBA while Westbrook was injured enroute to the MVP award and the warriors going 9-2 when Curry missed time earlier this season because you're too lazy to do research brehs.

What is there to explain? They're both all time great players. KD just does more on the court and can impact the game in more facets.
Past two years:

Warriors record without Curry: 19-12
Warriors record without Durant: 25-5

Not to mention the numbers are down across the board offensively when Curry is out.

Bruh, I'm still tryna figure out when and how he leaped back over Steph Curry in the best player in the world discussion.

Clearly KD benefits playin alongside Steph, everybody does so all dis shyt he doin while he in Golden State is null and void.

Last time I saw Steph & KD on the court together as opposing players, Steph was CLEARLY the best player on the floor.

I'm still waitin for somebody to explain dat shyt to me.

cant tell nikkas in here that shyt though. I remember when KD was hurt and Steph had emerged as the 2nd best player in the world and there was an interview, will have to find it but they were asking KD how he felt that in his absence Curry, Harden, and Kawhi basically were right up there and even surpassed him. he was like yeah, I gotta get back up there with those guys. I think it was after that he made the comment about "competing against these folk" then Warriors came back on them and he joined them.

If that's the case then why was y'all tellin me Steph was the new best player in the world during the 2016 season? And why are the Warriors so much better with just Curry and no Durant than with just Durant and no Curry?

I repeat, basketball is a competition and last time I saw Steph & KD on the court together as opposing players Steph Curry was clearly the best player on the floor. You can't erase that.

Well firstly, those are both winning records.

The offense and engine is structured around Curry. KD said that himself. It's factual. The warriors culture was Curry before KD ever showed up, and that doesn't change with him there.

Doesn't mean Curry is the better player though. He isn't.

this is false as hell. absolutely untrue. I dont want to see anyone hurt but man, I wish Steph wasnt around so we could really see if Durant could carry this team. he cant! its a great team, but Curry is too valuable to be missed. they can win the chip with Curry, they cant do it with Durant and that roster!

John Wall is my guy...but the fact of the matter is, Washington moves the ball better without him. as great a playmaker he is...he is a ball stopper. hopefully when he comes back he can adjust and they will be a better team.

likewise with Durant, as efficient as he is scoring, the team just doesnt move the ball as well with Steph being out. you will see him revert to OKC Hero Ball KD a lot. Steph gets them easy shots, with his skill set and with his mere threat presence on the court. without Steph everyone is forced to create their own shot more and the ball sticks more.

GSW won with Harrison Barnes. KD's contributions can be replicated. It hasnt been proven that Steph's can.

But what he said was dead on
Perhaps he is. But i still wont take it seriously because it's coming from him and he's not a professional basketball player nor an analyst. :beli:
Who knows dude probably has some interns working on the basis of most of his takes for him and all he does is deliver them. But even if it was truly HIS opinion i still will not take a FB player's NBA opinion seriously.

Besides with all the talented NBA rosters no one player can CARRY a team to a championship alone anymore. Them days are over. Most teams have at least 2 players that deserve an allstar bid but you can only have 12 thus the snubs. THis isnt the 80s and 90s where you had 1 superstar and a bunch of scrubs role players and can get to the finals easily

That was until Steph shyt the bed in 2016 and had a shyt nba finals in 2015.

His best Finals was last year playing with Durant, where he still couldn’t win fmvp

But the win percentage when Curry is playing and Durant is out is significantly better than the alternative. With Curry playing and Durant out the Warriors remain an elite team, with Durant playing and Curry out the Warriors are merely another good team vying for the playoffs.

That really just gives more reason for criticism. It's hard to justify the claim that Durant is the best player in the league when he isn't even the most important player on his team. There is certainly an argument to be made for Curry being better than Durant. He is a much more valuable offensive player that opens things up for his teammates in ways that Durant can't..

Skip is just a polarizing figure. He'll say stuff to get a rise out of you and try to dig up evidence to support his argument. That's how you know he's about bullshyt.

WHen making a point you gather facts and based on these facts you come to the conclusion that said facts suggest. Skip does the opposite. He looks for what can get a rise/ratings and sets that as his conclusion. THen looks for anything he can use to validate that conslusion.

Thus why i still wonder why anyone with half a fully functional brain still watches these show.

You mean the same Finals he stopped Kevin "I blew a 3-1 lead first" Durant from goin to? :dead::dead::dead: foh nikka

His best Finals was a 28 pt triple-double damn near and KD benefits more playin alongside Steph than the other way around so like I said, all da shyt KD doin in GS is inflated due to the fact the defense is focusing on Steph & Klay runnin all over the court all damn night.

It's somethin about knowin that I could replace Kevin Durant wit Harrison fukkin Barnes and reach the same destination(the Finals) and get the desired result(a championship) within the same timeframe(5 games) that's keepin me from puttin any stock into dis whole KD/Golden State experiment

I know steph hasnt been that great in a couple of finals, but you think they win those without him being there? no. absolutely not. his presence allows a guy like Iggy to go wild and get fmvp. its like in football, how many times you see the QB get the SBMVP? no way Eli gets a ring without that damn defense. same way KD doesnt get one without Steph. people get too enamored with tangible stat lines.
