The guards aren't very good at getting him the ball in the paint, and he likes to float outside. On top of that, I think he wants to play shooting guard which is really a waste of his talents. Once he plays with better guards and stays in the paint he'll be a lot better. He's got skills, but he's just too slow and weak.

Yeah, I been watching Summer League too, and notice the guards are not really checking for him in the post. It's a lot of selfish ball out in Summer League due to a lot of cats just trying to make rosters. But like you said, he tries to play like a 2, hanging out on the perimeter and such. I know he is a floor spacing big, but still. I don't put too much stock in that because when the season starts, Charlotte will have a game plan for him. It's a lot more freestyling going on in Summer League in regards to player movement.
I think the real issue is that for his size, he absolutely gives you nothing on the defensive/rebounding end, and his offense isn't good enough for that to be overlooked. He had like one go to post move in college (that pivot spin shyt) and he can't get by with that in the league. He can't bang (no homo) because he is too weak. He is only good as someone who can space the floor and be serviceable from deep. He can put the ball on the floor, but that usually opens up because of that pump fake that he does 95% of the time. Once people scout that it will be a wrap. On top of that, he is slow as hell with it.
He will not be a quality starter and I think his destiny is a rotational player (7th or 8th man) I think it was a bad pick for the Bobcats.
