Is social media’s anti(straight)black man phase payback due to níggas cōoning circa 2010?

It’s just the culmination of all the Black man hate that’s been going on since the 70’s; 80’s and 90’s. Before they did it vicariously through movies and daytime TV. Now they can all express their hate online and get a little attention.

This is a millennial/older gen z issue. The comments that were made back then were foul and c00nish.
That Twitter era was a result of dudes being shytted on in real life with no major social media to vent about shyt and when the new age social media came around they let off the clip:francis: Dudes back then were trying to hit ‘em where they knew it would hurt.

Did my own independent research. :hubie:

You just have to search tweets during that period. nikkas were mad flagrant with the c00ning. Even under the guise of “clowning”.

There was a huge paradigm shift after Trayvonn Martin and Mike Brown’s murders.

It was seen as perfectly okay to trash dark skinned women. I remember YouTube had that Sgt. Willie Pete cat who went off on darkskinned black women. Honestly, it was pretty disturbing.

Y’all really tryna #bothsides this.

:mjlol:

I remember a lot of c00nery from back then but black men weren’t calling for bw to be aborted, shot by police, etc. and getting 100k + likes for it. Add that to the fact that black men were getting hated on before that era although it’s not as explicit as it is today.

I don’t even remember a lot of “c00nery”...but I say this as somebody who was never on Twitter, Tumbler, and was on Facebook for maybe 2 years max.

What I do remember is that circa 97% of that crazy chit was from men like Lil Wayne and Yung Berg (once again) being held up as authoritative representations of Black Male thought and discourse.

Honestly I think part of it is a result of that—it was bad back in that era I remember it. Brehs were savage, but I also remember bw doing the swirl agenda around that time too. It was going both ways, the Brehs just were more savage around that time with it.

I also remember the 90s seeing talk shows and magazine interviews where bw said bm ain’t shyt and do xyz, and seeing those shows and magazine interviews where bm said bw are gold diggers and have bad attitudes and that ww are better. Both groups been doing it to each other.

Each decade there has been a gender war with both groups participating in it. For every breh saying bw said xyz on a talk show or magazine about bm, there are bw saying the same about bm.

Hell I’ll never forget that 1960s video of James Earl Jones talking shyt about bw while his ww sat next to him smiling.

I’m convinced that the vitriol being said by both groups has always been a thing, and honestly neither group(bm or bw) is an innocent victim here.

What makes this embarrassing is that we do it so loudly and publicly so everybody sees it. It’s sad honestly.

There's been a lot of dark skin ridicule for a LONG time that people want to gloss over
But nikkas want to act like Colorism goes one way:childplease:
Again
Nobody wants to have THAT conversation :childplease:
The bullshyt I heard from black women my same color as a child, teen and adulthood:childplease:
But I’m not out here seeking REVENGE-PAYBACK:childplease:
Nor do I disparage a whole gender because somebody did me dirty
These hoes want to talk shyt and write dissertations for clout and acceptance
Instead of going to get counseling, learning to deal with past demons
They would rather keep shuffling blame on a whole segment of a population
Meanwhile these hoes be seeking nikkas lighter than Chris Brown to have NICE HAIR BABIES WITH:childplease:
Or some goofy white boy that doesn’t have to HANDLE THEM like they would a breh:childplease:
This the shyt I’m talking about
nikkas are having one sided, disingenuous arguments and acting just like women when brehs talk about their experiences growing up
That didn’t happen to you:childplease:
Black women would never:childplease:
If black men and women are going to be on the same accord
The truth on both sides can’t be skirted any longer
Trust and believe black women were at one time on the no dark butts train themselves
Stoney Jackson, Shemar Moore weren’t popular for nothing:childplease:
But nikkas will be obtuse and in denial about this post
I hate my black momma:mjgrin:

A 1968 interview…

Honestly we’ve been throwing each other under the bus in front of white folks and c00ning for decades. But now with social media there’s more opportunity to spread and expose. Although I remember talk shows in the 90s having full episodes dedicated to interracial dating and there was always a few c00ns throwing bm/bw under the bus while putting whites on pedestals. As a group block people have a lot of issues. And it’s not just one gender—it’s BOTH. Neither is innocent here.

You got a point OP. Take a look at the humor from Vine (King Bach, those cringe ass watermelon and fried chicken pranks/skits) and Twitter. Brehs was c00ning superhard and just shytting on darkskin women. This era is just the revenge of the Tumblr feminist

The rise of the "pick me" black woman is now gaining major steam. These feminists are the ones deathly scared that their gravy train will come to an abrupt end.
