Is Some Of The Roman Hate :mjpls: Status?

Here on TSC, I trust that most of us are knowledgeable about wrestling and would only diss Roman for his perceived lack of in ring or mic skills.

However on Twitter and non-Hip Hop wrestling forums, I can't help but feel like some of the hate is status. Maybe I'm off base on this but besides Dwayne, I can't think of another non-white wrestler that's gotten a super push like this.

Am I overthinking this or is part of the Roman hate due to ?

Edit: Yes I know Reigns is half white but I don't think most people know that.

It's borderline trendy. People are still bringing up his sufferin' succotash promo from a year ago. A lot of the points used to criticize Reigns are no longer true. Especially the idea that he's a bad wrestler or he can't work.

The main reason for the backlash is the same reason why Cena gets so much hate. He's always "overcoming the odds" and rarely loses.

Reigns is getting hated because he was pushed over Daniel Bryan at his peak. Same thing happened to Batista.
