:mjcry:One day this masterpiece will be on Spotify and various streaming services in it's entirety, instead of a few songs. I played the living hell out of that album and thought Vol 2>>>>>>Soundtrack. Each member killed that shyt even Neef Buck:mjgrin:.

That summer 2003, this whole album, was such a special time, very much a coming of age summer, I have such memories and stories of those months, listening to this in my cd player, trying to re, counting hundreds, when I was trying to cash out my first 28. Lot of late nights and hazy, blunt to the head mornings. My boy died the next January, and that summer was like our last times together.

Is Chain Gang Volume 2 better than We are the Streets?

To me, hell yeah. I used to argue with folks about this. fukk, I used to say “give me an album with Beans, Free and Chris and i’d Take it over a lox album”.... as dope as the lox were (not taking anything away from the legends), The philly boys just made better music overall.

State Prop albums >>>>> Dipset albums to me. Album should of popped.

Was cool to hear them all together again on Beanies last album, they had a lot of chemistry and clearly brought out the best in each other.

Disappointing we never got an O & Sparks or Peedi album from that time.

I believe if jay stays in the roc and they go independent and just need distribution each member gets an album out.

I don’t think the major were gonna put money into anyone else except maybe for peedi..

But I can be wrong ..

This was really SP and Roc best time, right off The Reason, and Free's album, Beanie was murdering every verse in a syrup and pill induced frenzy, in the lead up to his June 2003 arrest for attempted murder. This was when I was desperate for a new Sigel project, and this was really the summer his career was forever derailed.

Oschino and Sparks were hungry and raw, the Roc sound was pretty much perfected.

When I'm having those kinds of days I always throw this on.

I still can't get into Chain Gang's ROC stuff. Except for Beans, the rest got exponentially better once they left.
