You want to talk "Is Steph Coasting" when the Cavs are sitting out their star players?

The anti-Warriors resentment in this forum is ridiculous :deadrose:

Nah you're forgetting how good Steph was last year. He was hitting something like 40% on PULL UP threes. Something insane. He not even hitting 40% on threes in general this season, and I think before last night he wasn't even leading the league in most threes made. Something unheard of since Steph took the leap a few years ago :yeshrug:

OP, I'm about to hijack your thread a little bit. My Seum brothers, answer this for me. Did Russell Westbrook surpass Kevin Durant as the best player for OKC? If KD comes to Warriors and Curry numbers dropped, what does that say about Russ who was an MVP candidate last year, and had more votes than Durant?

Do people forget what happened to OKC after the press conference where Russ and KD made fun of Curry? It's the same thing what happened when Bron manhood was challenged too. Curry put them on his back and killed them for it. My argument is this #2 shyt. Klay not buying that either, which is why he stated his game is not changing for shyt. I don't blame him.

Most likely taking a back seat. Also, he learned his lesson after the hard work he did in last year's regular season.

I'm slightly confused because of the way you worded your question, but no, Westbrook isn't better than Durant. But Westbrook doesn't know/believe that so the dynamic is different with them together. And Golden State is actually running a real offense as well. Curry could conceivably just chuck up the same type of shots that he did last year and treat Durant as though he was Harrison Barnes, but he's not that type of selfish player, and it wouldn't benefit the team either.

While I think Durant is better than Curry and/or Westbrook, the difference isn't huge, and as a point guard you can have more control over the offense.

Westbrook thinks he's better than Jordan. The problem with Russ and KD, which I said for years to people is that Russ hated that sidekick talk. He's not a sidekick for no one. People felt that he was the Alpha, and KD was beta, and that retarded Servant nickname made it worse. Russ for the last 2 years played at a level in which people questioned KD being there and getting traded. This is MVP superstar Durant. Steph was the "top" player. That's the argument. You're applying that he's struggling because he is now KD's sidekick. You didn't write that so I don't want to put words in your mouth, but it is the notion that he's #2. I think that's BS, but enough of this topic. I'm starting to look like a bandwagon Warrior fan.

I'm not buying this notion that Durant is superior to Curry, especially the Wade to LeBron angle. Curry was one game away from being dikkride to oblivion. He was considered the best player in the league for 2 years. KD could never "Wade" Russ, you think he could to the back to back MVP and the face of his team? I think the entire Warriors team coasting this year, as they feel that gunning for 73 made them suffer in the playoffs. Cavs coasting too, which speaks on the state of the league. These two teams might coast their way to the fukking finals.
KD is better than Steph...
