Too early to say. Only way to tell is when the Warriors are on the decline but shooting doesn't decline like athleticism.

Both were left teams with excellent defensive discipline and talent thanks to their predecessors :mjpls:

Both revitalized their respective team’s offenses :ehh:

Both are white men who receive full credit despite only being partially responsible for the construction of their rosters :mjpls:

Mark Jackson didn’t have the foresight to use Draymond correctly.. Kerr did

Mark Jackson didn’t have the offense schemes and fluidity that Kerr implemented with the current roster..

Mark Jackson’s play calling more ISO ball and better defense.. I mean he had David Lee starting over Draymond when Dray was clearly the difference marker every time he subbed in

All imma say is Draymond was a bench warming sf and the warriors played with one of the slowest paces in the league the year before Kerr got there.....up the tempo gave money the green light they win a championship :manny:
Talk to em.. Mark had them playing like he was on the Pacers lmao

Draymond wouldn't even be in the NBA if it wasn't for Jackson, he was a second round pick with a garbage second Rd

Mark Jackson would still be running David Lee postups and Monta Ellis ISOs while leaving Curry and Klay as Bron ball spot up shooters with Draymond rotting on the bench if he had the opportunity. Dude is a fraud that only got as far as the 2nd round because he had some of the most talented players of this era overwhelming his deficiencies as a coach. Warriors defense is also infinitely better in almost every conceivable way, from rotations to switching, versatility, and rim protection, with Kerr at the helm than it ever was with him. Do not understand why he gets so much credit for them evolving into the league best defense they have been for the past 3 years that they never were when he was coaching.

Kerr makes some dumb decisions, mainly with lineup choices, like any coach does from time to time. I still wouldn't rather have any other current coach besides Pop himself running my team if I had any say in the matter. The "he only wins cause of the talent on his team" take is so stupid; Pop, Phil Jackson, Riley, Auerbach, and every other historically great coach never won jack shyt consistently without all-time great players on their teams either. Great coaches are great BECAUSE they maximize the talent they have, and Jackson never came close to doing that with the Warriors, as evidenced by how dominant they've been ever since Kerr took over.

This is the whole thing right here. I recall seeing a stat that golden state was dead last in passes per game in 2013-14 and jumped to first in 2014-15 while improving on defense too. That’s on Kerr. Plain and simple. Kerr has proven himself repeatedly. Just as importantly, nobody seems to be calling Jackson. The rumor when he was fired was that he’d been trying to divide the warriors locker room, telling various groups of players that some players were faking injuries and apparently he’d been firing or demoting assistants all season long as a means of refusing to communicate with his front office. Let’s keep in mind he was traded some 7 times as a player for shyt like when he tried to lead a mutiny against John Stockton in Utah because he wanted a bigger role on the team. Given that track record, I’m inclined to believe he was difficult to work with.
