I still only call myself black cause other people just won’t say anything else besides African American or negro but it pisses me off honestly, we’re arent fukking black, word stems from negro (cause we say negro, thoincorrectly, too) which is the actual color black so i always thought it was bullshyt. Like brown should be the default term in my opinion Cause that’s literally our skin color

why do ya'll hate being referred to anything else but black

like we haven't decolonized that word.

I don't get the appeal of us constantly renaming ourselves as if that shyt changes shyt....

I really don't see the difference between any of these terms and I think these terms are only useful to advance group interests, after that IDGAF :yeshrug:

:yeshrug: 1 youtuber I reguarly watch prefers using the term "Ebony" (& "Ethnic European" for white people) because "Black" & "White" are just social casts that don't mean anything genetically..
