There are too many capers for Tariq on here. Thecoli is obsessed with christenizing this dude.
You can't even say anything slightly critical of him without getting a bunch of stans fired up. That's just too much.
why does everyone want to defend Tariq so badly? Or any of these guys like him and Umar Johnson? Or Boyce?
Well define capers? It's capitalism 101. Tariq, boyce, umar or whoever aren't telling anyone anything that they cannot read and find out themselves.
What you don't understand is there is and always be money in empowerment. Look at those late night commercials of "millionaires" telling secrets to gain wealth for $79.95 for their book and another $100 for their in person seminar. So Tariq and others aren't doing anything that whites and other groups do daily.
When he came to Dallas, one guy I was sitting next to was saying he didn't like how Tariq was selling black empowerment but pushing shades, boots, and t-shirts. He said it came off as cheesy but like I'm assuming that he never attended a seminar before.
I'm not one of those people who have been listening to him forever. The first I ever heard of him was when he was giving his two cents on the death of steve mcnair and side bytches. Like I said all of those guys are competing for the black dollar but those who seek the knowledge rather its from him, some like him, or self thought, it should be paid forward and actually utilized.
It's sad that there is such a crabs in a bucket mentality when it comes to black men getting money amongst other black people. I guess they all should just do it for free.
Finally on the flip side, my one beef with Tariq is when he always says he's not a "leader".
Every time something happens people are running to his twitter or instagram, watching his ustreams or listening to his podcasts to get his take on it. He can't make all of this money from blacks on the premise of selling empowerment but say don't follow me.
Cant have it both ways, his rebuttal is grown men shouldn't stan other grown men but it still doesn't take away the fact that has he has emerged as leader in the black community so he should embrace it or go back to being a relationship counselor.
