I put all that shyt on credit and pay when the bills due for rewards and cash back
Check into a hotel.
I did this for flier miles for a long time, and recently slipped up and got in debit about 4k worth on one card. I'll knock it out soon tho.
But yeah if you can get a great rewards CC, paying it off in full or at least down to 10 percent is an amazing way to travel for free and or get really nice items.
I guess but what kind of card he has? 300 limit offering rewards like that

this is the smart way to do it.
Where people get in trouble is, thinking of credit as "free money" and using it to live beyond means. Then only paying the minimum each month.

You don't "need" credit.
You "need" credit because financing is how banks make money and odds the average person doesn't have large amounts of cash on hand and unless you are a public figure, you look shady with large sums of cash for big purchasing.
You "need" credit to get other peoples money from other people.
All you $300 dollars wont ruin you people are wrong but I'll let you guys cook. Once they see you can maintain that card they'll keep increasing the limit until they get you in the cycle.

Use it, but keep your utilization low (i.e. don't max out or have it close to maxed out) and pay on time. Still though, $300 is pretty low...that won't ruin you by a LONG shot..so you'll be aaight.Just got my credit card because im.trying to build up credit.. got 300 secured

You have a long ways to go
Your shyt is irrelevant on the positive side until it becomes NON secured..which takes about a year and in good standing.
For those not on that struggle well i guess even if you are, I only use my credit card for purchases I could pay for on my debit card. Theres occasional exceptions where you know the money is going to come back to you and you can pay it quickly.
a $3000 limit doesn't mean $3000 to me and if anything its good for insurance. I went from D credit to 700's credit in 2 years..Never having shyt credit again.
