Is the Diamond Industry a Scam and how does it affect Africa?

If you were presenting evidence in court in a case against capitalism, the diamond industry would probably be near the top. It's a charade.
mainly for jewelry, too.

It is a complete scam and it has driven the exploitation of countless Africans. The whole industry is just some cacs on their Cream Schemes convincing people that the mineral has some amazing value... and under capitalism, this drives people to do all sorts of things to get a piece of the industry. Of course, Africans should get on their Cream Schemes too and nationalize or otherwise take over the industry (worker's control)

Can't remember where I saw it but online today I saw that diamond mining is going to be cut back because they've wasted a ton of money and haven't found much.

They can make more flawless diamonds in a lab and sell em for cheaper ,,but I guess people want to pay for the real thing since it was forged in the earth
Sad thing is that diamonds are just part of the story, insert natural gas oil,fertile land, the origin raw materials(metals) and other vast highly traded commodities.It is a complete scam and it has driven the exploitation of countless Africans.
