Uncertain grounds
such talent in the west results in the bottom teams getting top picks so their worst teams can improve quicker than the gang of mediocre teams in the east that get mid-late lotto picks and cant attract free agents. plus western cities are generally more appealing as free agent destinations

The Magic are a trainwreck? :dahell:

The entire roster is made of guys who are young and have shown that they're blossoming into stars. Scott Skiles will have them in the playoffs next season.

Aaron Gordon is 19.
Mario Hezonja is 20.
Elfrid Payton is 21.
Tobias Harris is 22.
Evan Fournier is 22.
Victor Oladipo is 23.
Nikola Vucevic is 24.

Yes, it's getting better. A healthy Cavs squad is just as good as any of the best teams in the West with teams like the Bulls, Hawks, Wizards, etc.

Curry and GSW came way the fukk outta nowhere, as did the Hawks, who were destroying Western teams so it's not like the talent is around, it can just take the right player or change (Draymond and Harrison being starters) to make everything just "click".

that was more a result of all the injuries last season. fully healthy okc beats gs. and we all saw how easily the cavs handled the hawks and their 60 wins.

First off OP is so wrong saying that Orlando has no All stars. Victor O. averaged 18 PPG in his 2nd year, Nikola almost made the all star team this season and Elfrid is Rondo 2.0

oladipo is already 23. don't see him becoming anything more than a marginal all-star (Andre Igoudala style). vucevic is aight. only getting all-star consideration cause its the east. remember Brandon Knight was getting talked about as an all-star last season when he was on the Bucks. i like elfrid but rondo 2.0 ain't sayin much without a big 3.

And? The Cavs were better then their record let on as are a lot of teams.

The Hawks were still a 60 win team, had one of the best months EVER, and looked genuinely great. They were as good as most of the good Western teams.

The GSW were great, no matter if Durant was there or not

and the cavs looked genuinely bad. then reality set in. the hawks remembered they were a bunch of role players. and struggled toward the end of the season and playoffs.

healthy lebron and kyrie beat gs. healthy durant and westbrook MASSACRE them.

I like Mudiay. think he'll be a future star. just don't see much else around him there. the team has no sense of direction. are they rebuilding or trying to compete? it seems like they're stuck inbetween.

nikka...Mudiay can carry a squad of nikkas in wheelchairs to a championship.

ATL…overly
my bad I meant the Raptors performance was embarrassing. Hawks was just disappointing. From taking 6 games to beat the mediorce Nets, barely beating the Wizards even though their best player Wall missed 3 games, to getting swept. Not too impressive run by the 1st seed:ld:

I don't understand how making it to ECF is a disappointment. It ended with a thud but making the conference finals alone makes it a solid if not good playoff run

And Wall only missed 2 games, not 3

In regards to Chicago's core gettin older, I had a thought last night

Not sayin hes :flabbynsick: but Noah is arguably past his prime. I dont think he moves as well as he did a few years ago bcus of all the injuries

I think its up to the Hawks next year to pose the biggest challenge for the cavs.

Orlando and the Bucks are moving in the right direction but ya...last year and this year might be the most lopsided we ever see the east and west.

Just one more thing...Indiana if nothing else has Paul George. He was a great player before the injury and I think he'll get back close to that level. But tjeyre gonna have to make some great offseason moves to be up thwre with the Hawks and cavs which I dont see happening. Roy Hibbert going milk carton status since towards the end of the 2013-14 season has hurt them alot
