In regards to Chicago's core gettin older, I had a thought last night

Not sayin hes :flabbynsick: but Noah is arguably past his prime. I dont think he moves as well as he did a few years ago bcus of all the injuries

I think its up to the Hawks next year to pose the biggest challenge for the cavs.

Orlando and the Bucks are moving in the right direction but ya...last year and this year might be the most lopsided we ever see the east and west.

Just one more thing...Indiana if nothing else has Paul George. He was a great player before the injury and I think he'll get back close to that level. But tjeyre gonna have to make some great offseason moves to be up thwre with the Hawks and cavs which I dont see happening. Roy Hibbert going milk carton status since towards the end of the 2013-14 season has hurt them alot

And he is in his 30's now

Out here in my damn drawls
To answer OP's question, yes the East is getting better. Indiana and Miami are getting their two stars back and should be looking to contend in the East. The Bucks' core will continue to mature and get better as well. SVG and Brad Stevens are fantastic coaches with young talent so I can never count them out of sneaking into the playoffs.

Really only see Toronto regressing anytime soon. On the whole I think the NBA is getting more competitive.

You can go ahead and put the Cavs in the Finals since they have arguably the top three players in the conference all on the same team. Assuming Love returns

I think it'll take a LBJ decline for someone to knock them off. Or another freak injury to Love/Irving which isn't that hard to imagine considering their injury history I suppose

oladipo is already 23. don't see him becoming anything more than a marginal all-star (Andre Igoudala style). vucevic is aight. only getting all-star consideration cause its the east. remember Brandon Knight was getting talked about as an all-star last season when he was on the Bucks. i like elfrid but rondo 2.0 ain't sayin much without a big 3.
23 old now? V.Oladipo is like Dwayne Wade 2.0 not too mention Tobias might stay. Them Orlando nikkas going to be cold in the future

The East is getting better but the West still has the obvious advantage and more star power as well. Cant put my finger on to why other then the West teams have had better luck with drafting players. It will take a superstar on the level of a Durant or AD to change the balance of power or at the least make things more even on both sides.

You forgot the Bulls. They are the only legit chance at not having Lebron go to the finals out of the east for the next 5 years.
LOL no they aren't. LeBron will never lose to the Bulls in the playoffs in his career. This year was their one chance.
