u serious? i need to do this

it was right around the time they slashed the price and the sales numbers came out .. I knew they were trying to do whatever to get more out there..so I tried.. they checked my acct history and said OK they can send 1 absolutely free.. now they expect a few people to buy them based on what I told em.. but they haven't emailed me as far as how they will check if they will at all.. I did email em back saying the phone is crack though (didn't touch it)

I bought one when it got dropped to $140 (I think it's still going for $140) because I needed to renew my prime membership.

My Review:
@ what basically amounts to $40 for the phone...don't do it

Wouldn't get that shyt for free. It looks like it's purely "I broke my phone and I'm using this till my replacement comes in" status :heh:
It's a really odd piece. Amazon needed to focus on keeping the price down to keep people coming in. It's selling much better now at this fire sale they are having, but i would imagine that it is due to hit $99 with a year of prime in the coming months.

Custom roms are becoming less and less of a norm with all these launchers you can add now. Most custom roms don't really add anything that you can't do on your stock rom with root access, so it doesn't seem like something people should waste their time with anymore. If you want a different look you can just download a free or paid launcher that works well on multiple devices instead of focusing on just individual ones.

I played around with some launchers on it after installing google services and the play store, but just went back with the fire OS.

TBH, it's not THAT bad if you are not a heavy app user. Once you get the play store working properly, chrome, and a few essential apps you are good to go. The Dynamic Perspective gimmick is alright, but not really my thing and turned it off.

One of my employees has one. We ROAST him constantly about it
I am not sure what there is to roast about, the phone is dirt cheap now if you were looking to renew prime anyway. :manny:

It's an ok mid-range phone as long as you know how to load the play store on it. If you don't like the skin, just add a launcher and start customizing it that way :yeshrug:

true about the custom roms thing..the main thing for me with those were trying to get rid of bloatware and i can do that if its rooted and get a app disabler.. i had a option to have a custom rom on my phone and chose to a debloated stock rom over the cyan and other ones..runs with no bugs unlike the custom roms.. longer battery

What I do with bloat is force quit them and if I can't delete them I just create a folder to put all that trash in there.

You can get stuff to hide folders/shortcuts as well.
