You don't have to update, breh. :what:

IDK where these negative connotations about jailbreaking come from. Even among apple users. "It's illegal" and "I don't wanna get a virus." :why:

Most of yall nikkas don't know shyt about phones. Look at the goog set thread, just a big circle jerk with no useful info being dropped. I was trying to hook android users up with sports and it was too "technical". Nobody ever heard of the Freedom app. Nobody was rooted. But everybody knew the specs for the latest phone. :dead:

Why yall got a 500 page thread and I'm the one who introduced yall to something as simple as show box and I don't even have an android. You guys are amateurs for real. :heh:

But then again, this isn't a tech site so what did I expect? :yeshrug:
 @ missing out on updates and security fixes just to download free apps and change themes

Wonder if Jennifer Lawrence was jailbroken too :sas2:

Another clown who doesn't know anything about phones. :mjlol:

The "updates" usually consist of jailbreak tweaks themselves and you can still get every security update through cydia.

If you think jailbreaking is about free apps and themes that just proves to me that you're an amateur and not a real techie. :yeshrug:

Do yall even get updates on android? :wtf:

Cydia is mostly filled with ringtone and theming apps nowadays. All the other stuff unlocks things Android let's you do without root. It doesn't compare to changing recoveries and boot screens, getting better battery or performing kernals, installing desktop os, or just simple shyt like custom ROMs.

Underwhelmed who. We knew EXACTLY what this phone was going to be.

The only disappointment for me was no Safire. At this point if you expected apple to drop top specs and elevate the hardware game you ain't been paying attention the last 5 years.

Oh, I've been paying attention.

The ONLY things known about the iPhone before the event was the screen sizes. Everything else were calculated guesses.

Apple always gloats about how superior their hardware is in comparison the the competition, going into intricate detail about the process by which they accomplished said feat. This year they just glossed over everything as everything about the phone[apart from the processor] was subpar compared to all the other years when they were class leading. The biggest disappointment to me was battery life. They had the opportunity to hit hard in this category and they chose not to.

The watch is garbage. I'll see what improvements they bring to it in the 2016 2nd gen. Conference was hyped like it was supposed to match 2007 levels of :ohhh: but it didn't.

Enlighten me then what's got you so excited to jailbreak your iPhone 6 next year when it becomes available?

It would take me hours to explain everything going on with my phone. Even longer to type it out. And for what? :heh:

But like I said earlier in this thread, the deal breaker is the fact iOS allows me access to all NFL and NBA games in HD for free. There is no android equivalent.

Explaining anything beyond that simply isn't worth my time. :yeshrug:

In the grand scheme of things that's no different then when people were doing that on Android through vpns last year. And its not guaranteed to last forever like the things I stated could be done on a rooted android device. Burden of proof is still on you breh.

Sorry, breh, but you're wrong. It's nothing like using a VPN. I open the app and I'm good to go because cydia has a tweak that allows you to change how apps work. No need for a VPN because I programmed the app to believe my location was legit so it's never a question anymore.

Also VPN method won't work this year because no countries offer free service. You'd have to use a VPN and buy a subscription. But I programmed my app to believe I have a subscription. No questions asked.

So no, that can't be done with a rooted android, and if it can, you need to prove that and teach your family how. But seeing how you're an amateur and I'm not, I'll save you the trouble: it can't be done.

And that's just NFL. Your VPN method didn't even work at all for NBA while it's the same for me: open app and :eat:. Real simple.

I know the method. I'm using it now which is why I'm asking what else besides free sports games that might get blocked at anytime makes jailbreaking comparable to root.

Nothing. I've always maintained that all smart phones are different but equal. That's why you never see me in any petty phone wars. A phone is only as powerful as it's user.

Give me an Android and it will be one of the dopest phones on the planet. Give me an iPhone and it will be one of the dopest phones on the planet. Give me a Windows phone and it will be one of the dopest phones on the planet. Give me a BlackBerry and it will be one of the dopest phones on the planet.

All phones are different but equal, depending on specific features you want. There is nothing an android can do that an iPhone can't. At the end of the day, all phones can accomplish the same goals: talk, text, internet, music, etc. It all depends on personal preference.

HOWEVER, this NFL/NBA thing is a HUGE deal. Now we have some separation and it's a deal breaker.
