:why: this nikka just came back last week from a torn ACL. You really expected him to come out dropping triple doubles right off top?

I'm one of the few Celtics fans who always knew Rondo was overrated and only good with all-stars and/or a gimmick offense. Go to any Celtics board before the time Rondo went down last season and these fools have him down as a top 10 player in the league. :rudy:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
He's back to pre-Big 3 levels....but even with the big 3

1. he was never a scoring (never averaged 14 ppg or higher)
2. he's always been a bad free throw shooter
3. he's always been a bad shooter period
4. the ONLY thing that stood out with him is the high assists and when you play with the roster he had, it wasn't that hard.

Rondo needs to be surrounded by a lot of talent so

1. He doesn't have to worry about scoring
2. He can gamble on defense and get help on the back end so analysts and writers can rave about his "intangibles" and "heart"
3. He can get those assists
5. All of his weaknesses can be overlooked/hidden
