And the thing about current Egyptians is they only claim their African when it's beneficial for them like people not calling them sand CAC's or trying to act like they are black:lolbron: , sneaky Sand CAC ways:yeshrug:.

Portions of it, yeah but you have to understand that the idea of the "Middle East" is less than 200 years old.

The region was carved up by Europeans (and Americans?) in the early 20th century and they were the ones that set those borders. Many of the issues the Middle East faces today is due directly to that carving up of borders, particularly in Iraq, Iran and Syria.

This book is a good place to start if you want to know more about the origins of the Middle East
