Homey im half mexican which makes this even look worse.....but answer me this....why arent Aztecs, Mayans considered American Indians? I tried to argue that along time ago and was laughed at like you all are laughing at me now...

I can't answer that for you breh. But I do know that Aztecs and Mayans are all indigenous people of the Americas same with the Cherokees, Seminoles etc. The term "Native Americans" is what is commonly used to describe the natives here in the US. Other countries in the North and South American continents use different terms to label the natives though.

First of all, they aren't Indians. When Columbus re-discovered the Americas he called the native people Indians, because he thought he reached India. The racist whites never felt the need to correct it. So for hundreds of years, they disrespected the Native people of the Americas by calling them a name that already belonged to another group of people in Asia.

Aztecs, Mayans etc were always considered "Indians" dude. Always. They are Native American.
