shyt is plastic as hell

people shouldn't complain about silence either, you're a fan at the game, make some fukking noise yourself. i hate how lame and waterlogged NBA crowds are, chant some rude shyt at the other team, harass their star player, do SOMETHING

This is what I don't understand, maybe I'm wrong (and if so correct me brehs) but I don't remember Knicks games back then with much more than the organ (:blessed:) and Defense chants...as a fan you should have some chants, make the ambiance yourself...that's your "role" as a 6th man or whatever. But I guess now people are spectactors more than fans.

I watched a Euro bball game last week and there wans't much music, because fans were doing all kind of chants etc. And they do it even more in football (soccer).

Different sports culture :manny: North Americans aren't used to organized chants etc.

I hear you...

But you're a Knick fantoo, you remember all these songs at the Garden before? I don't really...and it was still dope, the organ, the defense chants, etc...just seems to me that the fans were much more engaged than they are now

I mean if you don't know what I mean, just listen to this:

I'm sitting here trying to watch some of these games and I'm like :gucci: I'd be better off playing my own music an muting this shyt or finding a radio broadcast to play simultaneously cause I can't hear shyt on the fukking court with all the nonsense they got going on.

All this constant entertainment can NOT be worth it. If you need that shyt, stay home. I can't imagine going to any of these games in some of these cities and just being bombarded with SNIPPETS of songs I don't even really fukk with while I'm trying to watch the game.

its bad enough theres barely decent color commentary...now I gotta compete with Katy Perry and league-approved rap song instrumentals :heh:

DJ's in a pants store.....why have I never heard this dudes podcast before. I'm dying here.

Yeah I watched a basketball game in France (Gravelines...... they have a damm band playing in those small ass arenas... It was loud as shyt in there:heh:

I don't mind music but I'm just like if I wanted to hear trap beats and dance id go to a club.. I tune into basketball game to

Wait for it

Watch a basketball ...nothing more nothing less.

I feel that since the NBA has taken the physicality out of the game and blow the whistle on every other play (creating more more stoppage) that the fans are naturally losing interest in the action so they play music to keep them "engaged"

If league wasn't so watered down and generic the fan wouldn't need outside help with watching ...

But every time the home team score you have to play a beat or a sound effect...:dwillhuh:

Its impossible to consistently watch the league with this kinda shyt production

Haha yeah that's the thing, I understand the culture of chants is different but yeah it's the damn US, put a live band or something like that instead of some random "DJ"...that's why I like the organ...also I remember back in the 90s the Pacers would put the noise form Indy 500 races during the playoffs, I fould it dope because it's something particular to that arena...at least if you put some sound effects have something specific, not generic beats

You're right about all the damn stoppage in play, games often don't have any "flow" to them anywmore...foul, review, substitution, TV time-out, foul, review, delay of game, player not picking up the ball to make the inbound, free-throws, etc...so yeah it does make sense that the spectators are not as engaged too.
