From a gameplay standpoint it doesn't do anything amazing. From a story standpoint it isn't and will never be finished. It's like playing Advent Rising or Too Human.
Some games don't get sequels but are so good they deserve to be played anyway. Some games are decent at best and built upon the premise that they will get sequels and end up flopping so they never do. This is the latter.
