Its because the fans today mostly take the music like what random Instagram broads take it and it shows how these cats articulate or partake in discussions here. Its either a stan-boy war, Who's fukking a badder bytch than _____rapper or they give it a listen for "for the whip, the gym, or the club". Thats cool and all but that seems to be the excuse to give mediocrity a pass nowadays. "Oh that Young Thug shyt is TRASH But it bump sin the whip and the bytches love it!"

Never hardly discussions thought provoking lyrics, important subject manner The album quality, How this guest featured out shined this guest appearance etc etc
You are out of touch

None of that shyt is required to make good music

Good music is the standard and it's subjective because everyone's ears are different and people listen to music for different reasons[/quote}

That Cookie cutter shyt is good music to YOU but it's trash to me and clearly to many who happen to agree. That dont make me out of touch whatsoever. Out of Touch means that I discredit every young rapper coming in with a different style because I'm stuck in a different era. I love guys like Nipsy Hussle, Kendrick, Joey Bad ass, Bronson, 100s, Big Krit and others.

I've already acknowledged that in my previous post, My question to you along with many is that If you feel this era is so great" Why not post music from today's rappers that you FEEL deserve recognition? I don't fukk with Ross, The Migos, Young Thug, Young Scooter, Or any of these dudes but you never see me in no threads about them. But yet you cats are always partaking in discussions about your era but never showing and proving.

It's not just hip hop that changed but American society shifted. We used to care about shyt. Being aware and fighting against the status quo mattered. But we became severely materialistic at the turn of the century. People didnt want to 'hear' that shyt. They just wanted some shyt that banged in their car. Cites around the country started moving original inhabitants out to make room for tourist and hipsters. When the people lose soul, there's no doubt the music will also.

@dem bath salts Real talk, people have become too materialistic. Some people work second jobs just to buy high-end bullshyt that they don't appreciate and blow their money every fukking weekend, but don't want to have anything of quality music. It is also true that people care about hard hitting snares and 808s over soul sampling and slower-paced music.

Live your own life
I understand where you are coming from. Op. The culture developed a disconnection with the people when the WWE element has been added. HipHop has become a little bit of phony reality show, soap opera, gossiping frenzy culture and materialistic genre.
