You don't think Dwayne dictates how his characters are portrayed on film? I say he "transitioned" around 2002-2003. The blackest thing about him is his name, Dwayne Douglas Johnson.Honestly if they pass as white and look more white than black, I don’t really care but the Rock clearly doesn’t pass as white yet Hollywood keeps trying to pass him of as one

Hitch came out in what, 2003? They wanted to make it a mainstream movie so obviously you can’t have 2 black actors leading apparently. So they got a spicy white Latina in Eva Mendes. A woman fair enough for mainstream with Will Smith but not black to upset both white and black people. Also to appeal to hispanics as well.

The verdict is still out on The Rock because while he may not say anything about him being half-Black, he doesn’t say anything against it. I haven’t seen any All Lives Matter rants or anything c00nish.
