I work with a guy, early 60's who has never watched an episode and it fukked me up. Simpsons IMO is a strong contender for GOAT TV series.

"The Simpsons" has been one of the most influential and longest-running TV shows in history. It has won numerous awards and has been widely praised for its humor, social commentary, and cultural impact. Its impact on popular culture cannot be denied, and it has inspired countless other shows and comedians. So while it may not be universally agreed upon as the greatest TV show ever, it certainly holds a significant place in the history of television.

Its hard to for an Network TV show to be an GOAT contender cause they pump out 20+ episodes a season, no way they knock it out of the park every episode. Plus Simpsons been on the air for like 30 years now and its an common opinion is that the Simpsons fell off in the early 2000s.

I love the Simpsons BTW.

It definitely fell off a bit, but it still holds up. It can still parody reality with the best of them. SP aside, The Simpsons does great at mirroring middle America/Canadian life.

Nope.

It's always sunny >>>> the Simpsons.

But really Futurama >>>>>>>>>>> South Park >>>>>> Archer = American Dad >>>>>> Family Guy > Simpsons

The last could easibly be flipped for a person, but the rest are solidifed. Never ever been a big fan of the Simpsons tbh but I'm not gonna deny it's quality. Just that there are far better adult cartoons

Gets even more daunting if you throw in shyt like mission hill, the oblongs, home movies, Daria, Beavis and Butthead, king of the hill, bobs burgers, Rick and Morty, moral orel, etc

First 9 seasons are incredible, just great writing episode after episode. I can't think of a better sitcom at it's best. The Wire, Breaking Bad & Mad Men might be the best dramatic series. Never liked The Sopranos.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Seasons 3-10 is some of the best comedy ever written for a show of any kind. After that, it started to have a lot of misses, but would still occasionally knock it out of the park. I think I grew out of it by season 14-15, but I always tell people that it must still be doing something right because it's still on the air 34 years later. I just don't care to watch any of the new stuff and I'm perfectly content with what I grew up with.
