Yeah right. This NBA finals about to go extra hard.

Everyone in NY and LA will...and those just happen to be two of the biggest sports and entertainment cities in NA...Hype for the Rangers in NY is off the charts, can't go anywhere without hearing about them...u mean to tell me folks about to come out the woodworks to watch hockey.....something they havent watched all year or ever

As a Ranger fan I would've liked to have seen Chi in the finals. Would've been 2 of the original 6 in finals.
Plus its in LA, they don't give a fukk about hockey. Bunch of band wagon fans.

On top of that nobody outside of Miami wants to watch the Heat win again and nobody outside of SA small market gives a fukk about the Spurs...

So your small irrelevant circle speaks for NY?False-
except for the usual suspects, ain't no one in my office/gym/circle of friends going crazy for the Rangers like that. Essentially, if you had a small inkling of interest for hockey before, you'll probably watch- but the majority of Americans still don't give a damn about the sport.
And despite everyone's attempt to slate the narrative as "NY's 1st STANLEY CUP APPEARANCE (in 20 years)" most people in the area aren't buying it. Most of us watched the Rangers WIN the cup in our lifetime, in a muuuuuch more historically significant fashion.
I expect that the ratings will be comparable to last years (which were pretty good). But they will never touch the NBA. Hell, it may not even beat the NBA pregame show![]()

I don't even care about hockey in the slightest and here I am talking about it with you who equally doesn't give a fukk...That in and of itself should tell you the NHL is doing numbers this year...it doesn't take much to beat out the NBA, they always have weak finals numbers when LA isn't involved...
If I could bet on this I would...

of course the NBA ratings will be hire. NBA promotes it's players, NHL promotes the teams
everyone want to see lebron win or lose..
if u had someone like magic johnson for the l.a. kings vs larry bird for the new york rangers, the ratings will be off the chart.
hockey playoffs are better cause there's no cut favorites
hell 90% of people knew before this nba season starts the spurs/heat will be back
