We're neither totalitarian nor is there great suffering and injustice.

That's not to say that there is no suffering and injustice...just not great...

It says typical Totalitarian, it's not requirement, but we do leave in a totalitarian society

the 5 percent control everything, most americans do not even own homes now, the wealth gap is beyond reach the oligarchs run and dominate our society uncontested

New Poll Says Quality Of Life In San Francisco Is Going Down - YouTube

Look at the homeless situations on California

Most Americans are unhappy

All Americans do is work, literally get no vacation time out the year and even the time they have from their jobs they don't even use it out of fear

Technological autocracy by an elite and the addiction to technological advancement instead of social and spiritual are the roads to hell paved with the good intentions of science that benefits all. Greed through capitalism is the underlying factor that has made our existence a winding road and nothing will stop this train we're on till the planet kills us.

There is great suffering and injustice.
There are demographics whose very existence in the USA is injustice even if they aren't collectively suffering

Well then, I'd ask...how do you quantify "great". More than 50%? More than 25%? What's the tipping point?
Nearly 100% of black American live under stigma and injustice and systemic systems against them...
Some are more successful than others but all aren't pure citizens, like
How a white is in the USA
Or how a Chinese man is in China, or french in France

Depends on where you live and your quality of life. That and level of social media consumption. We definitely not a war torn country where the only thing that matters is the family's next meal though.
