You guys love this moves when y'all dont fukk with an artist. Think that his fame and acclaim is do to the production. Production has never meant more than what an artist does with the production.
I can give BJ the Chicago kid the same production as the Weeknd and he would still be where he is at.
HIs vocals are good enough, have you ever seen him live? No one is analyzing that shyt like that.. you just want to hear your favorite songs live and sing with the artist.

His vocals are subpar... Think Rihanna.. His performances are lackluster... And he ain't even easy on the eyes (which is I why I said, visual masterpiece he is not.)
as a person who indulges in music and plays a few instruments, I can tell you that there ARE ppl who analyze and dissect it from top to bottom. A lot, actually. The consensus usually is he is just simply, not good.
I get it, though. He's catchy. He's edgy. He's got a pawg, but that music shyt is NOT his forte. glad the guy got a hustle. I can't hate on that.
