superstar without an interview :wow: not only brought a dead genre back from the dead but changed it aesthetically, sonically, subject matter & marketing wise. The after effects are still being felt in other genre's like Hiphop today (Travis Scott, Future) etc and as far as straight up pop (Rihanna, Zayn etc)

da gawd :salute:

Im a OG fan back when nikkas didnt even know his name was abel. Back when they thought he was a group. Back when the only images of him was him doing micheal jackson moves on some random youtube. I saw the success comming but not this level. I was always curious how he was gonna package his subject matter cuz he was so raw wit it.

I don't believe J. Cole sold that many albums
:umad:

His previous albums were commercial duds. :stopitslime:

Although I personally loved Born Sinner.
The fukk u talking bout bornsinner and sideline story both were sitting at like 700k. He is the second highest selling hip hop artist of his gen. It's always been that way.
As a singer, his vocals are weak. Stage presence is wack, Not a visual masterpiece, either. Production is what keeps him in the loop
his lyrical depth is much greater than your favorite, I dont expect women to really go that hard for his music, cause y'all don't care enough about lyrics, y'all look for love songs and that's not his move

Weeknd ain't "RnB" bih. :heh:

And :heh: at you trying to play like the The Weeknd is underground or some shyt.

Status and popularity wise I thought was an easy assumption to make that TW was miles ahead JC, especially since he's super mainstream now. But the numbers tell a different story.

And as I've stated J.Cole's previous albums didn't even go GOLD or barely did.
yea they did clown. Every Cole album has gotten more and more sales. No rapper in his gen outside of drake has been selling more.

The weeknd is the goat, and gave drake his best album.
