In all my travels i have begun to see that these hipsters, these secular arab girls and these art chicks are the only ones out here having some true musical experiences.
What I WILL say is that a better way to connect with a woman is to EXPOSE her to new music. Females love a man they can LEARN from.

I have never dated a girl who had similar tastes in music, art, fashion, etc. Makes life more fun when you find someone who knows shyt that you don't know about.

I can vouch for the artsy chicks, and also Brandy's(smart/motivated women from marginalized communities, who never bought into the hoodrat mentality) These two types usually end up leaving a great impression on me. The hipster type is where it gets iffy; you have the dope ass women, who are just hip to a lot of shyt, and are lumped into the hipster crowd by default; and then you have the goofy, "I wanna be cool and different so bad", box b chicks, who are just as plain as Jane, but deep down, they're aware of it, and try their best to be early adopters of whatever their cultured counterparts are into at the moment.(I can't stand those hoes. Can you tell?)

I never said I was in a successful relationship. I broke up with my ex a year ago. Also, I hate hipsters. I just don't get along with them.

I've always thought musical tastes say a lot about a person. Music is emotional and can give you a peak into their mental state.

No...well, at least not always. Take it from someone with personal experience, but a lot of times a scheming female will adapt to superficial qualities ( your particular music tastes for example), and show fake interest in order to try to form an artificial bond. Compatibility is on a personal, spiritual, emotional, and of course sexual level....its not a "we like to watch martin reruns together!" level. Trust.
You might have a potential keeper, when you KNOW the girl is not interested in something you like (and isnt afraid to tell you), but she tolerates it because she cares about you and wants to make you happy.
