Is there a better example of amazing beats + subpar rapping than Living Proof?

Title track just came up on my shuffle and it honestly infuriated me how such an INCREDIBLE beat was done no justice. The whole album was like that. I mean, Lil' Dap was aight but Malachi sounded like some nikka who learned how to rap the day they started recording. Straight GARBAGE.

Why couldn't you bless better MCs with those beats, Premo?:mjcry:

A lot of top producers are like that, sadly. I mean when a rapper seeks out 1 producer for the whole album or if it's 100% collaborative, it turns out fine, but when a producer picks a rapper for an album they're just looking for some dudes who won't overshadow the beats.

still a classic. Id rather bump this album than the supposed lyrical wizardry of Illmatic.

Dap and Mal sounded like exactly what they were.....brownsville guttersnipes

Group Home being sub par on "living proof" is purely an Internet phenomenon along with 'U-God was wack' etc. FOA
